Welcome to the Artisan Tour in Fountain Hills

Whether you are an artist, a student, a local business, or simply a lover of art, we invite you to be part of the Artisan Tour. Formerly known as the Tour d’Artistes; the event has a new name, new logo, new energy and new ideas. While the name has changed, the core purpose remains the same: to celebrate the vast array of artistic talent in Fountain Hills and to provide funds for local schools to purchase art supplies.

Fountain Hills Art Students Projects

The art tour has a long history with the first Tour d’Artistes being held in 2012.   The idea started with Michelle Willams, former president of the art league.  Her   goal was to feature artists in Fountain Hills while promoting the town as an arts community; the tour became an annual event.  Years later Michelle’s health was failing and Elaine Tarr partnered with Michelle to ensure the annual tour would continue.  When Michelle passed away, Elaine continued her dedication to the tour.

Elaine Tarr, a longtime teacher, saw how deeply students needed a way to express emotions they couldn’t put into words. One student, traumatized by violence, drew dark images that spoke volumes. Another, grieving the sudden loss of a beloved teacher, coped through drawings. A quiet boy who never quite fit in was given supplies and space to create—and eventually published his own book of art.  For Elaine it wasn’t about talent—it was about healing, expression, and connection. The art tour had been started by Michelle Williams as a way to fund art supplies for local schools.  Elaine and her husband, Lloyd, made it their goal to continue the Tour d'Artistes.  They worked with the Fountain Hills Art League to keep the tour alive.

Today, That Legacy Lives On.

Now known as the Fountain Hills Artisan Tour, this beloved annual event—organized by the Fountain Hills Art League and supported by generous local sponsors—is free to the public and open to all. It’s more than just an art show. It’s a celebration of creativity, community, and the healing power of artistic expression.

Stroll through the scenic streets of Fountain Hills, meet local artists, explore their work, and maybe even take home a piece that speaks to you. Learn about different art forms, connect with the makers, and know that your support helps bring art into the hands of local students.

No....they just wish they did!  Your profits are all yours.

Yes, a  state of AZ TPT number, a City of Fountain Hills tax number.
